Amsterdamse Poort, Haarlem — Twin Towers from Below

Amsterdamse Poort shot from directly beneath it, the camera pointing straight up so the twin brick towers become a symmetrical gateway around a heavy, cloud-filled sky. The gothic arch and clock face hold the centre; the flanking towers compress into near-identical columns of dark medieval brickwork. Haarlem's last surviving city gate reads differently from this angle — less civic monument, more pure geometry pressing down from above.
