The terraced limestone face of ENCI-groeve cuts in clean horizontal strata down to a flooded quarry floor, the still water holding a near-perfect reflection of the pale cliff. Late autumn golden hour catches every layer individually — the raw chalk bright against the bare treeline above, the cave openings dark in the mid-slope. Sint-Pietersberg's geology laid bare: thousands of years of sediment read as a single, ordered wall. Industrial extraction and deep time arriving at the same frame.
