A winding footpath cuts along the chalk escarpment of Sint-Pietersberg, dropping toward the ENCI cement works and its silos below. The quarry has been reshaping this hillside for generations; the rewilding that now runs alongside the industrial infrastructure is its own geological argument. Bare winter scrub holds the slope, the path threads between extraction and reclamation, and the Meuse valley opens flat and wide in the far distance — two landscapes occupying the same frame without resolving.
