The ENCI quarry at Sint-Pietersberg holds its terracing and water channels in the foreground, then delivers the cement plant as a full graphic mass behind them — silos, rotary kilns, and a single chimney stack measured against a clear winter sky. Stripped to black and white, the limestone benches and gravel path become pure geometry; the industrial compound behind reads as a system of interlocking forms rather than a working plant. Extraction industry rarely frames itself this clearly. The foreground organises the eye; the compound fills the middle ground; the wooded hill closes it off. Nothing decorative, nothing accidental.
