From directly below, the facade of this Gothic Revival brick church in Delft stops being a wall and becomes a diagram of vertical ambition. The pointed arches stack, the steeple narrows, and the summer tree canopy closes over the frame like a second arch set against the first. The rose window sits mid-facade, holding its geometry steady while everything around it reaches upward. Brick this dark absorbs the overcast light rather than reflecting it — the drama is structural, not atmospheric.
