Gothic Revival Church Portal, Delft
29 May 2026 · Delft
The facade of this Neo-Gothic brick church in Delft pulls the eye straight to the pointed arch portal — tracery window above ironwork doors, decorative brickwork bands running across the frontage, a lamp post and bicycle cluster grounding it in the ordinary street. Tree canopy breaks the top edge without competing with the architecture. The portal is the canvas: the geometry of the arch does the heavy lifting, and the brick carries everything else.
