Cobalt Heart Sculpture at Nieuwe Kerk, Delft
29 May 2026 · Delft
A faceted cobalt blue heart sculpture sits in the plaza outside Nieuwe Kerk in Delft — its polygonal mirrored surfaces catching cloud and sky against nine centuries of warm Gothic brick. The geometry is deliberate: each facet reads as a hard edge where public art usually rounds everything off. Contemporary sculpture and heritage architecture don't always earn their proximity to each other; here, the contrast does the work without asking permission.
