Delft Church Spire Rising Through Scaffolding

A Gothic Revival church spire in Delft, shot from street level looking straight up. Scaffolding wraps the lower tower — the steel grid and the ornate brick stonework occupy the same frame, neither apologising for the other. The clock face reads gold against dark brick; the sky above breaks open in summer cloud. Restoration work is temporary; the geometry it reveals is permanent.
