A low-angle shot from the courtyard of a historic Dutch municipal school frames the ornamental pediment arch — 'Gemeente School' still legible in the stonework — against a pale overcast sky. The chimney stack rises left of frame; bicycles lean against the right-hand wall. Architecture-within-architecture: the arch compresses three layers of depth into a single vertical composition, the courtyard walls driving the eye upward to where the clouds take over. Pale cream stonework holds its detail in the flat light, making the civic geometry read clearly without the drama of direct sun.
