A large-scale botanical mural covers the full gable of a brick building in Maastricht — a oversized bird rendered in muted earth tones, surrounded by painted flowers and trailing stems. The overcast sky pressing down above it does most of the dramatic work: the mural reads less like street art decoration and more like a painted architectural surface, part of the building rather than applied to it. Monochrome pulls the tonal range toward its edges, flattening the daytime colour into something heavier and more permanent.
