Canal Reflection Under a Concrete Bridge, Maastricht

Framed by the underside of a concrete bridge, this stretch of Maastricht canal opens onto a calm spring sky — clouds and an industrial chimney both doubled in the still water below. The bridge overhead cuts the light hard, while the waterway beyond holds everything evenly: reflection and subject at the same weight. Riverbank vegetation crowds the right edge, half wild, half managed, exactly as Dutch waterways tend to look when you stop at the unglamorous end of the frame.
