Three buildings hold the Maas waterfront in Maastricht: a white modernist block, a brutalist brick tower, and a grain silo weathered to near-ruin. The dramatic spring sky above them does as much compositional work as the architecture itself — the cloud mass pushes down, the river reflects up, and the industrial quayside sits compressed between both. Graffiti runs along the warehouse walls at street level, the one detail that refuses to stay in the past.
