Shot from water level, the concrete pier of this riveted steel arch bridge fills the foreground with genuine mass — weathered, heavy, built to last. The arch rises into a cloud-active spring sky over the Maas, its latticed girders reading as a graphic silhouette against the light. Industrial heritage reduced to its tonal essentials: dark water below, structural steel above, and a sky doing most of the dramatic work.
