Gothic Church Under Restoration, Breda

Scaffolding netting and corrugated hoarding swallow the lower half of the frame; gothic tracery and a tower crane share the sky above. Breda's ecclesiastical stonework is mid-restoration here — the ornate lancet windows and carved buttresses half-hidden behind steel tubes and mesh, a heavy overcast pressing everything flat. Old permanence and temporary infrastructure hold the same rectangle, neither yielding to the other.
