Neo-Renaissance Facade and Tower, Breda
12 May 2026 · Breda
A worm's-eye view up the projecting central bay of a Neo-Renaissance brick building in Breda, the ornamental corbelling and arched windows stacked in a vertical spine that terminates in a tower cupola. Above it, a churning storm sky fills the frame — the building pushes upward into it rather than standing beneath it. Dutch civic architecture at this scale earns its drama from the geometry, not the weather; the weather here simply agrees.
