Breda Corner — Brick Facade and Storm Sky

A five-storey brick corner building in Breda anchors the frame at a wide-angle diagonal, its interwar facade pushed flat against a churning storm sky. The tower element rising behind adds ecclesiastical weight to what reads at street level as civic mass. Storm clouds do the compositional work above the roofline — pressing down while the building holds its ground. Breda's Noord-Brabant architecture rarely looks more resolute than under weather like this.
