Sint-Barbarakerk Breda — Gothic Spires Against a Storm Sky

Grote Kerk in Breda, shot from pavement level looking straight up into the nave's flanking wall, the clock tower, and a dense cluster of pinnacles. The low angle compresses centuries of Brabantine Gothic stonework — buttresses, tracery, crocketed spires — into a single vertical mass. Storm clouds do the rest: they push the stone forward and hold the composition flat against the sky, making the architecture feel both heavier and sharper than it does at eye level.
