Gothic Revival Church Door, Breda — Arched Limestone Entrance

A studded arched doorway set into pale ashlar limestone on the side flank of a Gothic Revival church in Breda. In monochrome, the colour drops away and the stone voussoirs, iron hardware, and cobbled forecourt become the real subject — ornament stripped to structure. The overcast light flattens shadow and lets every carved detail read clearly against the flat wall plane. Weight and restraint in the same frame.
