Leica SL3
60MP full-frame mirrorless system camera with L-mount and 8K video — Leica's photo-and-video flagship.
The SL3 is Leica's full-frame mirrorless system camera built around a 60MP BSI CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology and the L-mount bayonet. It pairs autofocus performance with the SL series' weather-sealed magnesium body and supports 8K video alongside its photographic role. Within the L-Mount Alliance, SL bodies share lens compatibility with Panasonic and Sigma full-frame L-mount cameras.
Position in the lineup
The SL3 is for someone who wants Leica's hybrid photo-and-video flagship without committing to a fixed lens. Within Leica's SL-system it sits alongside the SL3-S — the SL3 favors photography (60MP, 8K video), the SL3-S favors video (24MP, 6K open-gate, 30fps continuous shooting), and the SL3 Reporter is the same SL3 platform in a ruggedized aramid-fabric finish. The L-mount bayonet opens access to Leica's SL lenses alongside Panasonic and Sigma glass through the L-Mount Alliance.
