Leica LUX Grip
iPhone camera grip with shutter button, control dial, and removable handgrip — Leica's interface translated to the iPhone camera.
The LUX Grip is a Bluetooth iPhone accessory that adds a physical shutter button, a control dial, and a removable handgrip to the iPhone camera. Paired with the Leica LUX app, the grip exposes Leica's LUX Looks (digital colour profiles modeled on Leica camera output) and the app's manual exposure controls. The phone clips into the grip; the grip handles the photographic interface.
Position in the lineup
The LUX Grip is for someone who shoots on iPhone often enough that the touchscreen interface starts to feel imprecise — and who wants the frame-and-press rhythm of a dedicated camera without carrying one. Within Leica's accessory range it sits as the lateral move into phone photography, alongside the LUX Cases for individual iPhone models. Even though the device being controlled is an iPhone, the interface — shutter button, dial, grip — is photographic. The contrast move is the point: Leica reclaiming photographic intent from the camera most photographers actually have in their pocket.
