C-type Lustre Pro

C-type Lustre Pro is silver halide photographic paper at the archival professional tier — exposed by RGB laser in a colour lab, finished with a lustre surface that holds detail across the full tonal range. Not only a paper — a print made by the photographic process the medium grew up on.

The paper itself

C-type is the lab process photography has used for the last half-century. The paper is light-sensitive silver halide; the image forms when the paper is exposed to controlled RGB laser light, then developed in chemistry. The result is a photographic print in the literal sense — formed by light. The lustre finish carries a soft sheen that gives the image presence and reads clean across the room.

What it carries

C-type Lustre Pro carries work where sharp detail and tonal range matter most — architectural lines, contrast-driven compositions, images that depend on the precision of edge and the depth of colour. The lustre surface gives those qualities their full register.

Longevity

Silver halide prints on archival professional paper hold their colour for decades. Keep the print out of direct sunlight, frame it behind UV-filtering glass if it sits in a bright room, and the print holds its character through the years it hangs.

How we print it

Every C-type Lustre Pro print is produced through Prodigi's archival professional lab in the UK, EU, or US, whichever is closest to your delivery address. RGB laser exposure, chemical development, lustre finish. Prints ship rolled in a protective tube for paper-only orders, or stretched and framed for framed-print orders.

A print made by light.
