Stretched Canvas

Stretched canvas is the wall-ready form of the photograph — 400gsm canvas wrapped over a 38mm Float ImageWrap stretcher, archival pigment held in the weave, the image carried around the edges. Not only a print — a photograph the wall can carry directly.

The canvas itself

The canvas is 400gsm — heavy, woven, archival. The stretcher is a 38mm Float frame: a deep wooden support behind the canvas that gives the piece its presence on the wall. ImageWrap means the photograph continues around the edges of the stretcher, so the canvas reads as one continuous image whether viewed straight on or from an angle. Archival pigment inks bond into the canvas weave. The piece arrives ready to hang.

What it carries

Stretched canvas carries every collection — Atmospheric, Halcyon, Monochrome Moods, and Signature. Canvas works particularly well for images at scale, for photographs where physical presence and depth carry the work, and for Mono pieces that gain from black running across a textured surface.

Longevity

Archival pigment on canvas, kept out of direct sunlight, holds its colour for decades. The canvas itself is woven for stretching tension and stays taut over time. Dust the surface occasionally with a soft dry cloth.

How we print it

Every stretched canvas is produced through Prodigi's facilities in the UK, EU, or US, whichever is closest to your delivery address. Canvas printed flat, then stretched by hand around the 38mm Float frame, the image carried continuously around the edges. The piece ships boxed, ready to hang.
