Martinic Scanner Vibrato
Hammond-style scanner vibrato — phase modulation via the rotating wiper that gave tonewheel organs their characteristic chorus behaviour.
Scanner vibrato is the rotating-capacitor modulation circuit Hammond built into its tonewheel organs — phase modulation via a wiper rotating across capacitors, distinct from the chorus, flanger, and Leslie speaker treatments that came later. The character is harder to reproduce than a phase-shifter because the modulation isn't sinusoidal. Martinic's plugin models the scanner mechanism and capacitor network at circuit level, with selectable scan rates matching the Hammond original.
