Painted Cow Sculptures at Museum of Liverpool, Albert Dock
9 October 2019 · Liverpool
A row of boldly painted cow sculptures lines the plaza outside the Museum of Liverpool, the Albert Dock's Victorian brick warehouses visible in the background. Each figure carries its own vivid colour scheme — clown faces, rainbow arches, abstract patterns — standing in direct contrast to the cool grey of the museum's angular facade. Public art at its most unapologetic: colour turned up to full against an overcast Merseyside sky. The installation plants playfulness exactly where you'd expect gravitas.
