Liverpool Waterfront Under an Overcast Sky

The overcast sky does most of the work here — a wide, pale wash of cloud pressing down over the Liverpool waterfront, with the steel bridge structure and pedestrian plaza empty in the foreground. Behind them, the skyline layers up: a construction crane mid-rise, the gilt top of a memorial column, and the curved glass of a tower block at the right edge. The city is mid-build, and the frame catches it in that unresolved state — not yet what it is becoming, still holding traces of what it was.
