Seagull Silhouette Over the River Mersey at Dusk

A single seagull hangs mid-air above the River Mersey, wings spread against a heavy overcast sky. The sun, diffused behind layered cloud, throws a pale glow directly below the bird — the kind of alignment that holds the frame together without asking permission. Liverpool's waterfront silhouette runs along the bottom: tower blocks and spires dissolved into the dusk. The sky does most of the work here; the bird earns its place by anchoring it.
