Contemporary Architecture at Dusk, Arnhem

A curved glass facade dominates the frame as two figures cross the plaza below it. The staircase geometry cuts diagonally against the building's sweep, and the overcast sky presses heavy over both. Arnhem's civic architecture is built to hold its own against weather like this — the drama is in the structure as much as the clouds above it. Monochrome strips the warmth from the dusk and leaves only the tonal contrast between the lit glass, the deep sky, and the two small figures walking through.
