River Maas at Sint Servaasbrug, Maastricht
23 June 2026 · Maastricht
The Maas runs wide and still through Maastricht here, with Sint Servaasbrug's stone arches stepping across the middle distance and a church spire marking the Wyck bank on the right. An overcast spring sky presses down over the whole scene — diffuse light, no hard shadows, the kind of weather that flattens the river into something closer to pewter than water. The river cruise vessel moored on the left adds scale without demanding attention. Held light, open city.
