Dutch Polder Canal at Sunset, Pijnacker
21 June 2026 · Pijnacker
The sun sits exactly at treeline, splitting the sky between deep blue overhead and warm gold at the horizon. A Dutch polder canal runs straight toward it, carrying the reflection down into the foreground grasses. The contrail above reads almost like a compass needle — incidental, but it holds the composition in place. Flat land and open sky do that here: everything aligns, or appears to.
