Dutch Polder Canal at Dusk, Pijnacker
21 June 2026 · Pijnacker
A still canal in the polder landscape near Pijnacker, photographed at the edge of dusk. Reed beds line both banks, trees frame the corridor, and the sky — just past golden hour, flushed peach along the horizon — mirrors itself in the water below. The symmetry is compositional accident and natural logic at once: the polder was engineered for drainage, the reflection asks nothing of anyone. South Holland in summer, at the quietest part of the evening.
