A tree-lined cycle path in Pijnacker, South Holland, at the last hour of summer light. The canopy closes overhead into a natural arch, and the warm raking sun catches the red asphalt and the grass verge in almost equal measure. A wooden bench sits just off the path beside a drainage ditch; farmland opens out to the left. The path does the structural work — the trees do everything else.
