Stepped Gable Tower, Maastricht — Dutch Brick Architecture
16 June 2026 · Maastricht
A stepped gable corner in Maastricht, photographed from below looking up. The trapgevel cuts a precise silhouette against a partial blue sky, while the corner composition splits the frame into two brick planes — one gable face running vertically to the crown, one broader facade carrying yellow-framed windows in staggered rows. Stone dressing at the corbels and a carved medallion high on the gable give the brickwork its ornamental weight. The geometry is the subject here; the sky is just the boundary it pushes against.
