Brick Tower Rising Over Maastricht's Cobblestone Square

A tall dark-brick tower pushes straight up from the cobblestone square below, its stepped parapet cutting into a sky full of moving cloud. The low-angle frame holds the civic buildings and their arched ground-floor galleries low on the horizon, giving the tower the full vertical run.
