Maastricht Station's brick facade is a civic statement as much as a transport hub. Shot from below, the stepped Dutch gable rises against a partial cloud sky, the clock centred at its peak and two stone lions flanking the stained-glass windows beneath. The NS logo and 'Maastricht' signage sit at the canopy line, grounding the heritage architecture in the functional present — monumental by design, still doing its original job.
