A wide grassland at Sint Pietersberg, its long stems catching the warm tones of a Dutch summer afternoon. The cloud mass builds from horizon to zenith, doing the compositional work that a skyline usually performs — the sky is the subject as much as the meadow beneath it. Limburg in this light is genuinely open: flat grass, a dense treeline holding the distance, and a sky that fills every spare inch of the frame.
