From Sint Pietersberg, the South Limburg landscape spreads in layers — dense green canopy, white suburban rooftops, and a communications tower holding its narrow line against a sky full of cumulus. The tower gives the eye a fixed point; the sky does the rest. Dutch summer light is diffuse and restless, the kind that makes the green look oversaturated and the clouds look borrowed from a heavier season. This is the view the hill offers when the weather is still deciding.
