Vineyard Rows and Church Spire, Sint Pietersberg
9 June 2026 · Sint Pietersberg
From the ridge at Sint Pietersberg, the vineyard rows pull the eye across South Limburg's hills toward a Gothic church spire rising out of the tree line. The vines do the structural work — tight parallel lines converging on the one vertical in the frame. Above it all, a full summer sky of stacked cumulus presses down on the horizon. South Limburg earns its reputation as the Netherlands' most un-Dutch landscape: the hills are real, the vines are real, and the distance has genuine depth.
