Transmission Tower over Sint Pietersberg, South Limburg

A slender transmission tower rises above the Sint Pietersberg hillside, the only vertical line in a landscape otherwise given over to tree canopy and rooftops. The cumulus sky above Maastricht's southern ridge is doing its own work — deep-piled clouds pressing toward the treeline while summer green holds the middle ground. Sky and structure share the frame without competing for it; the tower anchors what the weather makes restless.
