Upward view through a curved glass-and-steel canopy at a Dutch railway station. White steel arches form a radial grid against a partly cloudy blue sky, with urban rooftops visible beyond the open end.

Glass Canopy at The Hague Railway Station

30 May 2026 · The Hague

The curved steel lattice of The Hague's railway station canopy, photographed straight up from the platform below. The arched framework subdivides the sky into a repeating geometric grid — each panel a small rectangle of cloud and blue, the whole structure pulling the eye toward a single vanishing arc. It is infrastructure designed to be looked at, and the glass does exactly what it promises: it keeps the weather out while letting the sky in.
