Shot straight up through a glazed roof in The Hague, the steel X-bracing fills the frame as a near-perfect diamond against an overcast sky. The silhouetted structure collapses depth entirely — the geometry takes over, and the diffuse cloud behind it keeps every tonal value exactly where the composition needs it. Black and white is the only register this image works in: colour would split the attention; monochrome locks it.
