Empty escalator at The Hague's transit station, framed from below against a geometric glass roof. The steel grid of the skylight pulls the eye upward — the same converging lines the escalator sets in motion carry on into the ceiling's diamond pattern. Infrastructure as graphic composition: the station's engineering and its architecture arrive at the same answer from opposite directions.
