Rotterdam Skyline Framed Through Dark Overhang

A dark architectural overhang cuts a diamond aperture across the frame, and through it the Wilhelminapier tower cluster rises against a clear blue sky. The overhang does the compositional work — it compresses the skyline into a graphic, poster-flat shape. Glass facades catch the sun directly; the surrounding buildings recede into the shadow's edge. Rotterdam's financial district reduced to pure geometry.
