Rotterdam Centraal Canopy and Kop van Zuid Towers, Worm's-Eye View

From directly below, Rotterdam Centraal's curved titanium canopy and the glass-grid towers of the Kop van Zuid pull the eye upward along three entirely different architectural logics. The canopy sweeps in one continuous arc; the towers stack their curtain-wall grids in hard rectangular columns; the clear blue sky holds all of it in the same frame. One composition, three structural languages — the tension between them is the point.
