KPN Tower and De Rotterdam, Wilhelminapier Waterfront

Two towers, two entirely different ideas about what a tall building should be. The KPN Tower leans into its own silhouette — angled glass crown cutting diagonally against a clear summer sky — while De Rotterdam rises as a stacked vertical slab alongside it. Shot from the Rijnhaven waterfront, the gap between them is the composition: a compressed slice of sky between two architectural ambitions. Rotterdam makes this argument better than anywhere else in the Netherlands.
