Shot from directly below, the stairwell tower's wedge cuts a hard diagonal across open blue sky — the geometry does the work the lens barely has to. A street lamp and a plane tree crowd the lower frame, anchoring the vertical mass in the street-level world it rises above. Rotterdam industrial architecture at its most blunt: white render, raw concrete texture, clear summer light, nothing decorative in the frame.
