Rotterdam's working harbour stripped to its structural logic: grain silos, mixed-era port buildings, and a row of barges pushed flat against the waterline by a clear summer sky. The horizontal layering holds the weight — water, dock, building mass, sky, each band doing its part. Industrial heritage and active port infrastructure occupy the same frame here, the old silo block and the residential tower behind it neither resolved nor in conflict, just coexisting the way Rotterdam does.
