Dutch Polder Stream at Dusk, Dramatic Summer Sky

A polder stream cuts through dark wetland vegetation toward a backlit treeline, the sky above it swollen with summer cumulus. The cloud mass catches the last diffuse light from behind the silhouetted poplars — the water below mirrors just enough of that brightness to pull the eye all the way to the horizon. A contrail scores the blue gap in the upper right, the only human mark on an otherwise unbroken landscape. The Netherlands at the edge of the evening, held between the weight of the sky and the stillness of the canal.
