Dutch Polder Canal Reflection, Leiden Polderpark
22 May 2025 · Leiden Polderpark
A still polder canal near Leiden holds the sky so cleanly it doubles it. Cumulus clouds fill the upper frame; the water below returns them intact — the treeline drawn as a thin seam between two skies. This kind of bilateral symmetry only holds for a few minutes before wind or current breaks the surface, and the sky and the water each assert their own nature again.
