Leiden Centraal — Aluminium Facade Rising from the Platform

From the platform edge at Leiden Centraal, the office building beside the tracks asserts itself as a wedge of vertical aluminium fins tapering to a sharp apex against a deep blue summer sky. The catenary wires draw diagonal lines across the face of the building, stitching infrastructure to architecture. It is a building that rewards the low angle — the geometry that reads as routine from street level becomes poster-print monumentality from the rail line.
