Vredeskerk Bell Tower, Leiden Polderpark
22 May 2025 · Leiden Polderpark
The Vredeskerk sits low against its plot in Leiden Polderpark — flat roof, dark brick, the horizontal lines of mid-century Dutch Protestant architecture kept deliberately quiet. Then the bell tower cuts straight up through the frame, a single slim vertical against a sky stacked with cumulus. The low angle pushes that tower into graphic authority; the building earns its place in the Signature Collection not through ornament but through line work — structure and sky in active, unresolved dialogue.
